LANDSCAPES ON CANVAS AND WOOD PANEL
This piece was part of my exhibition at SFMOMA Artists Gallery from
January 13, 2011 - February 24, 2011.
The pieces in this series of landscapes are especially important to me, as I draw my inspiration from our local Shollenberger Park wetlands, a fragile ecosystem currently threatened by a proposed asphalt plant. This recently approved asphalt plant will be located directly across the Petaluma River from (and very close to) this beautiful and rare wetland preserve, endangering its wildlife and the health of our community.
